Home

I really don't belong anywhere
And I've never had a home I called my own
I've always felt some sort of out of place
I pace the floor of my empty room
I look out my window
I stare at the stars and the leaves
Bowing in the twilight
And there's always something missing

Oh, I wish I had a place to go
whenever I close my eyes
A loving home with a porch and a swing
or a city block with a fence and a screen
and apartment building with a cat and plant
or maybe just a trailer home
I wish I didn't close my eyes
and I feel so very very alone

Sure I've always had a family
I've always had a place to live
But I've never had a place called home
I've never had a place where I belong
But things I think are about to change
Cause I'll find you and you'll be my home.

Insomnia Rant

The night arrives, it steals my inhibitions away.
I watch them leave and the chains which lock the butterflies
of my soul are broken and I am released.
Free to fly around the room and do as I wish.
My body enters into a weightless state and stares at the darkness
replaying the days events in a constant loop.
The butterfly, my soul, leaves my body to be and go out into the world
to seek out truths which they are not allowed to see while chained within me.
Everyone of them is a dream and unfortunately they don't all come back every morning.
Some die, some get lost, and some run away.

Hide and Seek

::whisper::
3,2,1...

::whisper::

Where you at
I don't know
This game has gone on for way too long
I'm crying out, I'll count to 4
I'm tired and I don't want to look anymore
I looked for you, I promise you I tried

So why oh why must you hide
Oly Oly Oxen Free
I give up
Please come out
Show me where you're at

Where you been
My whole life
Why don't you come out from behind that rock
Cause if you win, I won't care
I'm lonely and I just can't bare
Another second without you here, I confide

So, why, oh why, must you hide
Oly Oly Oxen Free
I give up
Please come out
Show me where you're at

I've been looking to long and I'm ready
To find you and end this game
And go inside, ignite the flame
And live our lives as we decide

So, why, oh why, must you hide
Oly Oly Oxen Free
I give up
Please come out
Show me where you're at

Come on now, oly oly oly oly oly oly oly oxen freeeeee

Bridge Ditty

If I were to tell you how I feel, would you throw it back at me
Or would you tell me that you feel the same way
And would you look at me and see your future
Tell me that I'm in your nature
Grab my hand and hold it on your heart while you
Spin me round and round
Upon this ground
Upon this rain spilt, dirty, rusty, upside down and topsy turvy spoiled ground
where I'll be found

If I were to ask you for some help, would you turn your back on me
Or would you reach out and grab my outstretched hand
And would you shield me from this world of hatred
hold me tight as we lie naked
Grab my hand and hold it on your heart while you
tell me we'll be safe
within your arms
With you big, strong, heavy, tight and lovely wrap me up and save me arms
where I'll be found
