Spring Will Come

The melting of the snow brings breath
color and life come out of hiding
the couds part, the papratzzis sprout up
to see the entrance of the sun, so magnificant
gliding along its own red carpet

And the bud
it's eye slowly opens
it sees the light and strethes with all its might
its spirit, the wind, lets the leaf dance
it ances all through the night and day

It's joined by hudnred of brothers ans sisters
as the mosh pit grows
grooving to the music of the birds
its life is one of joy and peace
the sunlight smiles ever from above

And as the clouds return
the Earth is sadened
a great change is coming
as the grey sets in
and the leaves slowly fall off the tree

She sat in her darkened place
staring at the wall
everybody stared at her
but nobody knew her
and another leaf has fallen off the tree

She lived forever in tis room
peeping out the window
afraid of the dark
afraid of the room
and another leaf has fallen off the tree

She wanted to get away from this room
always wondering if there were others like her
stuck in a dreamless state
destined for a hopeless fate
and another leaf has fallen off the tree

The sun disappears into the horizon
the lights are turned off
and the drakness sets in
the wind grows bitter from losing its heart, the sun
and the last leaf has falled off the tree

The land is barren
the trees are fixed and dialated
the leaf turns to dust
and the dust settles in her room
it breaches the air of indifference

She continues to sit in the dark
every breath she takes is a little bit of dust from that leaf
she quietly watched as it fell to the ground
the first to arrive was the last leaf to leave
and now its within her, buried deep within

The days are painfully long
the room is awfully small
and as she stares out the window
she smiles because she knows he's coming
she feels it in her inner being

Yes spring will come again
and she will once again have hope
